People think apple cider vinegar removes bunions, but the answer is no; they cannot remove bunions entirely. Since bunions are a deformity of the bone, you cannot use a home remedy to correct it, and it will need surgery.

But is apple cider vinegar good for bunions? Of course! Apple cider vinegar is anti-inflammatory and can help reduce inflammation around the area and help a bit with the pain. That’s not all; apple cider is also an anti-bacterial and helps reduce foot odor.

Apple cider vinegar has magnesium, potassium, calcium, and phosphorous, all of which help treating joint pain. It also flushes out toxins and metabolic waste stores in connective tissues and provides relief from bunions.

Take a small bowl and fill it with equal parts warm water and apple cider vinegar—a quarter of each is enough. Mix these well and then soak your feet in them for a good 15-20 minutes. You can also use a pumice stone to scrub and remove any dead skin. Once you’re done, let your feet dry and apply a good moisturizer.

Note: You should know that there’s no scientific evidence to support the claim that apple cider vinegar can get rid of bunions entirely. So you should not stick to home remedies and consult a medical professional for the best possible solution.


You can experiment with temporary remedies to eliminate bunions, but they won’t work. Similarly, apple cider vinegar can help relieve the pain, but it’s just a temporary fix. We recommend going to a doctor or medical professional to treat your bunions.
